Play Kitchen

It's coming along, slowly but surely!

We bought an old entertainment center from craigslist about 18 months ago and since then I've been collecting stuff to build a kitchen for the kids. In the meantime, it's been more of a flimsy storage unit, simply taking up space. With only weeks before we move, I decided it was getting ridiculous for me to keep hanging on to this thing - we needed to transform it or get it out of here!

I don't have a true before picture (although I might have one that I can dig up from old files) but here's an 'in progress' shot. The missing door on the right will be the oven, above that will be the stove (just picked up some old knobs for free this week!), the top left side will be the microwave, and so on.

The kids are already loving it. I'm just sad it took me so long to actually do it! Better late than never, I suppose :)

Hopefully I'll have a finished kitchen to show you in the next two weeks or so!
